It is the fear of blushing that can cause panic attacks for a blusher which might become so stressed that the blusher starts avoiding all situations. There can be a medical reason that sets it on as an overactive sympathetic nervous system which controls the size of the blood vessels in your face. Then, there are confidence and self esteem issues that can set blushing off. The fear of being judged triggers blushing when you feel that you’re being watched and the person watching is judging you in some way or the other. Blushing is usually the physical reaction to an emotional response that gets triggered by self conscious thoughts.

Inhale deeply with your back straightened, and count to 10 when you begin feeling overwhelmed by emotions, such as stress, anxiety, anger or embarrassment. Relax your muscles as you exhale. Focus your thoughts on something besides the source of your agitation, on something positive or serene. Relax your muscles from toes upwards up to the shoulders and neck by alternatively tensing and relaxing. Repeat until you feel better.
